Or P= $\frac{W}{t}$………… (i)
Since work is a scalar quantity, therefore, power is also a scalar quantity.
Note: Bigger units of power are kilowatt (kW), megawatt (MW), etc.
1 kW=1000W=10^{3}
1MW=1000 000=10^{6}
1 horsepower= 1hp = 746 W
